Crazy 4 Challenges C4C52 - Lattice Challenge

Hello Friends! It's Saturday and by golly, I believe some of my crafting mojo has returned. . .well, sort of! Why? Because it's Crazy 4 Challenges time again and boy, it sure makes me want to get into the creative process!

This week, Frances once again inspired us to create a fun card. The challenge is to add some sort of lattice design to your card. Here are a few ideas to get you started ... lattice using your circuit machine, dies, embossed lattice using scor-pal; Lattice Punches; Designer paper that has lattice pattern, lattice background stamps or image stamps that include lattice on them; etc.

Come join us at Crazy 4 Challenges and show us your lattice designed card! Be sure to stop by and check out the beautiful cards the design team created:

* Barbara Anders
* Cindy Haffner
* Frances Byrne
* Jessie Rone
* Joanne Grzelak
* Joycelyn Pelkey
Lynda Benden
* Angela Wood
*Silke Ledlow
* Silke Kittmann
* Vicki Garrett

There are 2 types of lattice design on my card. The background lattice was created using my Cricut Cartridge "Wild Card" and the border lattice was created using my Spellbinder "Borderbilities". Together. . .that is a lot of lattice for sure. To bling up the lattice a bit, I added dew drops to the border. How fun is that?

As for the image, I colored it a while back. It's by Hanglar, I believe. I don't have the stamp. . .I believe it was one of the images I received from an image swap I participated way back when I was still participating in image swaps. Image swaps are a fun way to receive different type of images that you may not have or when you can't afford to buy the actual stamps. I don't participate in image swaps anymore because well, I can't even find the time to create cards for the rubber stamps that I do own. LOL!

Anyway, it was a joy to create this card. I actually had fun creating it. You know, I love creating stuff. . .I think part of my problem is I want to do too many things that I'm torn between various hobbies. I need to learn to balance all the different hobbies I have and find a way to be able to work on each of them without feeling like one hobby is taking away from another hobby. I think once I find a balance, I'll feel happier about the process of creating. Right now, I'm still working through it.

Okay, be sure to stop by Crazy 4 Challenges and play along! Hope you all have a beautiful Saturday!

Pink Cat Studio Digi Stamp Release

Hi Friends! Happy Thursday! Hey, I need to work quickly. . .we've been having power outages and the power finally came back on but it went out again. My computer has a battery back up but it's only good for 20 min.

Today is the release of these cute Pink Cat Studio images. Yay! I'm an RN so I just love these images! Stop by the Pink Cat Studio blog and check out the fabulous cards the design team created.

I used an SVG file I created a while back for this card. It opens up and I added a card as an insert. I need to continue this later. My battery is about to go out.

I'm back. . .I just remembered I had my laptop. LOL! Okay, I can continue. Well, I created this flap card using an SVG file. I actually had cut this flap card a while back and it was sitting on my desk for some odd reason so I decided it must want me to use it.

Anyway, I better end it here. I need to conserve my laptop battery just in the case the power don't come back on for a while.
Hope you all have a beautiful Thursday!

You must be thinking my crafting mojo is back considering it looks like I worked really hard to create my card. Actually everything on my card except the lace and beads are all scraps! Yup, scraps! I had colored the rose image a while back but never used it. The embossed background was something I created when I created the video tutorial for this "shabby chic embossing" technique. Click Here for the tutorial. Oh my . . .I looked at the date of when I created the tutorial and it was in January. Gosh, that is how long I've been holding on to the embossed panel. LOL!

Hey. . .I hope you're not sick of seeing lace on my cards! Why? Well, I have a gazillion rolls of lace and I gotta use them. My motto nowadays are "hoarding no more" or "use it or lose it"!

Honestly. . .after I created this card, it sort of brought back a little crafting "spark" in me! Something I haven't felt for over a month. Yay! It's a good sign!

Like I said, I colored the rose image a long time ago but there was something I didn't like about how I colored it so I sort of threw it in the crap pile. LOL! Yes, crap pile.

To refurbish the image and bring it back to life, I added glitter to the image. The wonderful part was that the leaves weren't colored otherwise it wouldn't have matched my color scheme of my card. Seeing that I didn't color the leaves, I decided to use it and colored the leaves brown to give it a more vintage appearance. I added glitter all over the image and nearly messed up the image. I had to rub off some of the glitter because it actually covered up the details of the image. Whala! It all worked out in the end! Yay!

BTW. . .the image is by Stampin Up in the case you're wondering. . .:)

Anyway. . .that's it for today! Hope you all have a gorgeous and blessed weekend!!!

Christmas Stampin All Year Long Challenge #61 - Ribbon Challenge Pink Cat Studio Sponsor

Hello Friends!! It's that time again. . .my Friday routine! Yup, it's Christmas Stampin All Year Long challenge time again. This week, FABULOUS Pink Cat Studio is our sponsor! Yay! What does that mean. . .well, if you play along this week, you may have the chance to win 5 Pink Cat Studio digital images! Whoohoo!!

I decided to use the cute Santa Owl image. He is such a cutie. I think I used him last month! LOL! I just realized I used the same image! I colored the cutie with my Copic Markers and Prisma Color Pencils. I was just experimenting mixing the two color mediums!

This week's challenge is to use two or more ribbons. Actually, I could have been more creative with the ribbons but I've been so lazy lately. It's terrible. I'm suffering through a paper crafting depression and I'm sort of stuck in hole that I'm trying to crawl out of! Have you ever suffered from crafting depression? I hope I shake out of it soon. Maybe I should take a crafting Prozac. . .it would be nice if there was such a thing. Maybe shopping therapy might do the trick. LOL!

Well I hope you'll stop by Christmas Stampin All Year Long and Pink Cat Studio!!! We'd love to see all your lovely Christmas cards!

Hope you all have a wonderful Friday!!

Pink Cat Studio Digi Stamp Release - Introducing Bloggy

Hello Friends! Hey it's Thursday and that means digi release day at Pink Cat Studio. Yipee!! I'd like to introduce you to Blobby, our newest cutie pie character at PCS!! He is sweet, funny and cuddly, a perfect addition to the PCS family.

Here is the new set of Bloggy images released today and with your purchase today, you'll receive the cute Lily image! Yay!

I was going to post a tutorial for this pocket card but I had a bit of a problem uploading my tutorial so I'll try again today. Stop by later this afternoon to check out the tutorial. Isn't this birthday Blobby a cutie or what? Gosh, this new image is so darn adorable. . .it just makes you feel like giving Blobby a hug. LOL!

Here is the pocket design inside the card. It's a very simple design and easy to create. Again, sorry I didn't post the tutorial but I will soon. . .:)

I had a lot of fun creating this card. I merged 3 of the Blobby images to create a group of Blobby laughing their heads off. I crocheted the flowers and added the appliques over it.

Last not but least. . .this Blobby has a flower. Such a cutie. I've been adding more embellishments to my cards because after I organized my craft, I realized that I've been hoarding them like a crazy person. I have so many prima flowers. I didn't realize how many until I gathered them all together and stored them in one place. I think I should be on a segment of the show "Hoarders". It's NUTS. . .well, more like I'm nuts!

I want to apologize for not posting regularly on my blog. I finally put my room back together but I am having difficulties returning to my regular paper crafting routine. I think I have a bad case of "messophobia". Now that my room is cleaned up and organized, I can't stand the idea of messing it up. I'll get over it but right now, I'm having a bit of issue with it. Please be patient with me. . .:)

Anyway, be sure to stop by the Pink Cat Studio blog and check out all the awesome cards the design team created!!

Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!

Listed Craft Stuff On Ebay

Hi Friends! I'm beginning list craft stuff on Ebay again. I have so many more things to list but it takes a lot of work to list stuff on Ebay that it's taking me a while to get them listed. I'm working on getting things listed this week. Right now, I've listed Stampin Up Stamp Sets, CTMH Stamps, and other rubber stamps. I'm trying to be organized so I'm concentrating on listing wood mounted rubber stamps right now but I'll be listing other items later in the week including craft tools, embellishments, unmounted stamps such the Greeting Farm, Our Craft Lounge, and other popular brand stamps.

Stop by and check out my Ebay listings and if you don't see anything you like or need, be sure to check daily and see what new items I've listed.

Crazy 4 Challenges - C4C50

Happy Saturday, Friends!! Ooh, it's Crazy 4 Challenges time again! I love the challenges at C4C because well, I actually get challenged! LOL! Frances came up with a fun challenge. . .it's all about music this week. . .and maybe even a little bit of Elvis! Yup, you heard . . .Elvis. Well not really but if you add something Elvis well, you get extra love!

Gosh, I don't remember the last time I created a music themed card. I had to do a bit of brain storming. Because of my craft room re-organization, I remembered I had a music related embellishment that I came across as I was organizing. I think it was fate! I used my Jolee's Boutique scrapbook embellishment. . .I thought it was perfect for this challenge!

I'm sure you think I'm a very determined lady to crochet the medallion just for a card. Well, not really. I'm in the middle of crocheting a table runner and well, the medallion on my card is one that I messed up. Instead of creating 12 petals, I went nuts and created 13. It happens when you're not paying attention. Rather than taking it apart and starting over, I decided to keep it for my card making projects. I actually have another one that I messed up. . .I created 11 petals on the other one. LOL!

Okay. . .be sure to stop by Crazy 4 Challenges and check out the awesome cards the design team created or stop by the designers' individual blogs.

Christmas Stampin All Year Long Challenge #60 - Designer Paper Challenge and In Style Stamps

Hello Friends! Dang, it's Friday already! I can't believe how quickly this week has flown by! So much to do, so little time! Well, the one thing we have time for is making Christmas cards, right? Well, this week at Christmas Stampin All Year Long we have a fun challenge for you! The challenge this week is to create a card using 2 or more different designer papers. Well, I have a gazillion designer papers so personally, this is an easy challenge for me.

This week at CSAYL, In Style Stamps is sponsoring us! Yay! Come play along at CSAYL and you'll have a chance to win 4 In Style Stamps digital images. The challenge ends on Thursday, August 19th.

Awwww, isn't this In Style Chloe image the cutest or what? I love this series of images. Chloe is so adorable! I colored Chloe with my Copic Markers. I know. . .I said I was going to start using other types of color medium but I was in a rush to make this card so I went with what was most easiest to use. I'll use another medium some other time.

Whoohoo! Check out the blings on the tree! One of the things I did with my craft reorganization was to make my embellishments accessible so I'll use them. Prior to my re-org. . .getting to my embellishments required extra effort of digging into containers and well, by the time I found something I wanted to use, I would lose all of my mojo that I don't want to finish up the card. To top it off, by the end of it, my room looks like a tornado swept threw it. I learned my lesson from my last reorganization.

Here is another In Style image. His name is Tucker. What's Christmas without a nutcracker, right? I made this card simple because honestly, I was ready to go to bed and my creative juices no longer were flowing through my veins or my brains. All my body and brain wanted to do was go to sleep! LOL!

Anyway. . .that's it. . .I need to go to bed. Be sure to stop by Christmas Stampin All Year Long and check out the pretty Christmas cards the design team created!

Hope you all have a wonderful Friday!

Pink Cat Studio Digi Stamp Release

Hey Friends! Wow, it's been several days since my last post. I think this has been the longest that I haven't posted anything. Sorry about that! I'm so desperate to finish up my craft room organization . . .and I mean DESPERATE! I'm hoping to finish up by Sunday. I'm praying that I'll get it done.

Okay. . .sorry about the rant! Hey guess what today is? Today is the release of new Pink Cat Studio digi images. It's been a few weeks since the last release. . .bet you've wondering what happened. Well, don't despair, Pink Cat Studio is back with new images! Yay! This week is all about back to school!!

Another wonderful news is that there are several new Pink Cat Studio designers. Here is the new team, some old and some new and don't forget to stop by the PCS blog and check out the cool creations the design team created!

Do you see a change in my photo back drop? Well, my normal white back ground has lost its space in my craft room. I now have a sewing and crocheting section and well my photo box has been displaced. Right now it's sitting in limbo on the floor of our guest bedroom. . .I need to find a new spot in the house for it.

You're like shut up and tell us about your card. . .sorry about that. . .I just feel like ranting away today. Okay. . .my card. . .well, I colored it with my Copic Markers which by the way, I need to buy refills because some of them are running out of ink. I think until I get new refills for some of the ones that are drying out, I'll be using different color mediums. .. my neglected color mediums such as my Prisma pencils, watercolors, and other inks. Copic markers are not the only color medium in existence in the case you've forgotten! LOL!

Do you see the school bag? It's actually a minature craft embellishments by Lifestyle Collectibles. It's used for miniature doll houses and not a scrapbook embellishments. I found it in my pile of craft stuff that I organized. It's kinda fun because I've discovered stuff that I didn't know I had. One of the shocking stuff I found was a container full of already stamped and colored images that I had colored and saved from two years ago. OMG! None of which were colored with Copic Markers. . .most were watercolored. Interesting. I may use them. . .they actually look okay. I also found a bunch that I colored 3 or 4 years ago and I threw them away. Yuck. . I can't believe I actually thought they were pretty back then that I saved them. LOL!

Anyway, that's enough yapping for today. Be sure to stop by Pink Cat Studio and check out the new images. If you purchase an image or images today, you'll receive a free image! Yay!

Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!!!

Crazy 4 Challenge - C4C49

Hello Friends!!! Hey it's Crazy 4 Challenges time again! And this week, Frances came up with such a fun challenge. . . it's all about cupcakes! Yum!! Before I continue, the crazy gals at C4C is adding a new and talented designer. . .drumroll please. . .Silke Ledlow is joining the team this month! Yay!

Well. . .I love cupcakes, the real ones and the paper ones too! I decided to use an SVG file I created a few months ago. If you want to use the SVG file or hand cut template, Click Here. . .it's free.

What's with all the dots? Ummmm, not sure. I can't get to my rubber stamps right now because well, they're still in the hallway somewhere with a pile of stuff on it. I'm so stressed right now with this craft room reorganization I'm going through. Yesterday my husband helped me move my furniture around and move my computer to a new spot in the room but the realization hit me today that I had to put everything away and I started to hyperventilate thinking about it. LOL!

Back to the dots. .. I wanted to add "sprinkles" to my card so I used my Scribbles Iridescent paint and went to to town with the dots! Ummm, I think I over did it! Too funny. Now that I look at it, I shouldn't have added the dots.

I didn't do much organizing today. . .honestly, I'm beginning to develop an anxiety disorder whenever I look at my craft stuff. . .so rather than organizing, I decided to crochet instead. I'm working on a scarf right now. Crocheting is very therapeutic. It helped relieved the stress I was feeling looking at all the craft stuff still spread all over the hallway. You sort of get lost in the process of creating the stitches . . .you should try it!

Anyway, stop by Crazy 4 Challenges and play along with us this week! Check out the cool cupcake designs that the design team created. . .looking at them will definitely make you want to eat a cupcake. . .:)
