Little C's Challenge and Happy Birthday to My Husband!!

Hello Friends!! Hey, I'm sorry I haven't been around the past few days! It's spring and you know what that means? Allergy season! It's been seriously kicking my butt! For the past few days my nose would not stop running, I've been sneezing like crazy, and I just haven't been able to concentrate!! It's been horrible. I finally gave in yesterday and took some medication. I don't like to take medication for my allergies because it makes me dopey but I had to do something about it! It was killing me!!! Well, it worked to stop my sneezing . . .just enough to be able to work on a my card for the Little C's Challenge!!

Yes, today is the start of this week's Little C's Challenge and this week the challenge is to bling bling your card! Yup, add some sort of bling to your card. . .make your card glitter and shine! Well, that's just what I did!! Before I talk about my card, let me post the rules to the Little C's Challenges:

Here are the rules for the weekly challenges:

  • Deadline will always be on the following Sunday @ 6 pm, Hawaii Time
  • Winner(s) will be announced on Mondays
  • Little C's product are NOT necessary to play (unless noted), just as long you stick to the challenges' "theme".
  • 2 RULES to absolutely be qualified for a chance to win:
1) You must post a comment on all of the designer's blogs
2) You must post your card or project somewhere on the Internet such as your blog,
photo gallery, SCS gallery, PCP gallery, or an online forum, etc.
  • A prize will be awarded to the challenge winner
  • The three designers for Little C's are:
1) Jen (owner) at Pieces of Me
2) Mackenzie at Midnight Scramper
3) Maria at Stampin Inspirations (me)

I decided to use the cute image by The Greeting Farm. . .you can find "Ruby" at Little C's and a bunch of other cute TGF stamps! To bling up my card, I glued glitter on to the flower, add rhinestone to the center, add glitter to parts of the image and add a few "Dew Drops" that you also can find at Little C's. I colored Ruby with my Copic Markers and used SU designer papers for the background. To cut the shape I used my Nestabilites!

I created this matching box "just because"! I love making gift boxes now that I can cut them on my Cricut! It's a snap to cut them especially when you already have templates/files ready to cut. I used myscrapchick.com "30 Boxes & More" file to cut the box and "Cut Flowers" for the layered flowers. I used the "Crayon Box #3" file for the box. . .I modified the size to a height of the file to 11.25" and extended the width as well to make a bigger box.

Anyway, hope you'll play along in the Little C's challenge this week. Stop by Jen's and Mackenzie's blog to check out their cute samples for this week's challenge!

Be sure to stop by Jen's blog at Pieces of Me for more details about the challenge and the prize.
